Wolf's Pit Fell Race

If you're looking for a testing fell race this weekend, you could do no worse than this one!




Make sure that you leave your vest OFF! The vest wearing gents in this picture seem to be struggling, while Richard is making light work of the terrain.

Wolf's Pit Fell Race - Sunday 17th 11am

**2013 arrival & departure from the event instructions**

Please park at High Peak Garden Centre, Hope Road, Bamford, Hope Valley, S33 0AL as instructed. Then make your way on foot through the village of Shatton, up Townfield Lane, to the start field.

Please allow extra time to walk to the start/finish field, distance approximately 900 metres/0.55 miles from High Peak Garden Centre.

Race entry fee: £5 payable upon collection of race number

Minimum age 16 years old, but 16 to u18 year old runners only accepted with signed parental consent form available at registration.

Kit

The race is to be run under FRA rules and full kit will be required. (full body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass & whistle).

Toilets

Toilet facilities will be available, by kind permission, at the High Peak Garden Centre and Townfield Barn adjacent to the start/finish field.

Training on the course and important land access issues

The local land owners have been extremely co-operative, working with us to allow access across open farm land en-route to the mast (the first big climb), and allowing access across Abney and Offerton Moor for the later parts of the course. (This access is granted for the duration of the race only; a TWO hour period 1100hrs - 1300hrs on the day – please do not abuse this privilege).

Dogs

The race is to be held in early Spring (lambing time), so no dogs on the course.
