Penistone Footpath Runners & AC’s Dave Needham broke his own vet 65
Club Record last Sunday in the Retford Half Marathon when he also finished in
the prizes as 1st in that category. On a bitterly cold day, he
knocked 7 seconds off the record he set in last year's race to finish in 115th
position in 1-39-48. Paul Gee was 1st Club
runner home in 104th position in 1-37-13 with Mark Riordan just behind in 107th
in 1-38-13 and Geoff Dimelow, in hard training for the London Marathon, 142nd in
1-42-42.
Two Members travelled up to West Yorkshire to compete in the hilly
Spenborough 20 mile road race. The race was again run in bitterly
cold weather and Nick Morris was 113rd in 2-39-32 and Heather Parkin 181st in
2-57-37.
