Let them eat CAKE!

Although it might be over a month away, Pete McLeod would like you to know about the Hartcliffe Hill race which takes place in April. It's a bit of a short, sharp; "When does this bl***y hill end?" type of run. Now the main thing is of course: CAKE! You need to sort out a cake recipe which will have the entrants racing up and down them thar hills. Penniless students, who now have to pay tuition fees thanks to Nick Clegg, turn up in the hope of winning a life-saving crumb or two.
Pete needs a few helpers and he's sent me a list of possible vacancies. Just keep these in mind and offer support when the time comes.

The details are in the Fellrunner calendar, the barn at Langsett is booked, I have managed to save enough numbers from the XC League to make sure there are numbers on the day. What I haven't done is:
  • remind club members that it is on
  • get people to do the recording on the day  (4 needed)
  • ask club members to marshall (min 9 needed - but I already have 3 of these)
  • put out a request for cakes
  • check the course
I will ask Martyn to do the results and approach Andy Plummer to get some Woodhead MR first aid cover. Barbara, are you OK to check with the relevant landowners? Steve, are you OK to co-ordinate entries? If either of you feel able to help with any of the other things in the list above, let me know.
Here's hoping that the Good Weather Fairy is going to smile on us this year.
