SHUFFLE CANCELLED! Following
a full inspection this morning, Saturday's race is off. There is black
ice on the tarmac roads and 5 foot snowdrifts block the ascent. Ice
makes the stiles treacherous and ploughed fields mean parts of the
descent are not runnable. The path section next to the busy A629 is
blocked. If this isn't enough, the Pavilion approach road is uncleared,
meaning parking here and in much of the village would be impossible. We
apologise for all this but will make every effort to reschedule it and
announce something next week. Watch this space!
